ADAPTIVE APPAREL COLLECTION

Based on primary and secondary consumer research within the adaptive and non adaptive apparel industry, the main objective of the Desires&Fears Adaptive line is to create for males 16-25 years old with Limb Impairments that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing which is not seen as much within Limb Impairment adaptive apparel industry. I want to create garments that make it easier for the wearer to access their prosthetic and take on / off clothes easier, all while staying in the latest trends within the fashion industry. My designs will allow the wearer to access their prosthetic through the double knee panel of the pant allowing for them to now wear pants again without them being to heavy, restricting or accessible. My line will address all of missing components in an adaptive apparel collection through use of invisible closures, innovative fabric choices, better mobility in joint areas, and integrated technologies. By pursuing this collection male style enthusiast will no longer be faced with adaptive apparel that is only targeted to older markets and they can now purchase apparel that boost their everyday confidence and aesthetic.
